Bandits suspected to be Fulani have shot well-known twin brothers, Husaini and Hassan dead, in Birnin Tsaba town, in the Birnin Magaji Local Government Area (L.G.A.) of Zamfara State.

The inhabitants of the community responded immediately afterwards by killing three Fulani people.

An eyewitness, Mohammed Sani, said the issue erupted when some bandits went to Birnin Magaji market and killed Hassan and Husaini.

He said,

Immediately the bandits killed the twin brothers, they left the market on their motorcycles.

He added that when the news about the killing of the twin brothers by Fulani bandits reached the people of the town, they quickly mobilised and went in search of any Fulani man.

As a result of this, three Fulani people have been killed by the angry mob, while others escaped with serious injuries,

Sani added.

The Zamfara State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, told journalists that the Command’s efforts were ongoing to ensure the arrest and prosecution of “the perpetrators of this dastardly act”.
