Ikeja, Eti-Osa Top Coronavirus Cases In Lagos

The Governor of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has revealed that the highest coronavirus cases in the state were recorded in Eti-Osa and Ikeja Local Government Areas (L.G.As.).

He made this remark during a live broadcast at the State House, Marina, on Friday, March 27th, 2020.

If you don’t have any need to go outside, please stay inside. That’s rule number one. In Lagos, the local governments with the highest number of infections are Eti-Osa and Ikeja,

he said.

Earlier, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, said that Lagos State could witness up to 39,000 cases of coronavirus.

Abayomi during a press conference on Friday, March 27th, 2020 said,

Our mathematical modelling shows that the worst-case scenario is that we may see up to 39,000 cases in Lagos, but if everyone practises good social distancing, the figure will be limited to 13,000.

Currently, the most of the COVID-19 cases in Nigeria were brought into the country from high-risk nations like the United States, the United Kingdom, and other European countries.
