Borno: Bodies Of 14 Mourners Recovered After Boko Haram Attack On Chibok

Following an alleged Boko Haram terrorist attack on Kwaple village in Borno State’s Chibok Local Government Area, the bodies of fourteen mourners have been found.

According to Flavision, the Chibok attack happened on Monday, April 28, just seven hours after a number of drivers and passengers were killed and others injured when their cars collided with a terrorist-planted Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on the Gamboru Ngala-Kala Balge road.

In addition, the terrorists burned more than ten residential homes and a church.

The council’s chairman, Hon. Modu Mustapha, confirmed the attack on the Chibok village, saying that the terrorists attacked several mourners who were gathered for a last-day prayer for a loved one who died last week at around 6:00 p.m..

He emphasized that the number of casualties may be higher as the community began a search and rescue effort prior to a mass burial of the deceased victims, adding that many of the victims who were injured in the attack were taken to Mubi General Hospital in neighboring Adamawa State for treatment.

Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume responded to the recent Boko Haram attacks, stating that the situation was pitiful and unimaginable, particularly in the Southern Borno Senatorial District.

He went on to say that he got a distress call reporting that more than ten vigilantes had been killed in a community between Adamawa State’s Garkida town and Borno State’s Hawul local government region.
