Man Allegedly Stabs Apprentice To Death Over N500

A trivial argument over a N500 debt has claimed the life of a 33-year-old apprentice, Afeez Oluwole, at Satellite town area of Lagos State. Our correspondents learnt that the victim was stabbed to death by one Kazeem Mustapha in the course of a minor argument that occurred between them.

The suspect has since been arrested by police for alleged murder. It was alleged that he stabbed the deceased man on the chest with a broken bottle.

According to reports, the deceased was taken to the Holy Family Hospital where he later gave up the ghost. It was gathered that the suspect and his victim had an argument over the N500 debt before it later turned into a brawl.

The Lagos State Police spokesman, Bala Elkana, confirmed the incident, although as at time of publication, the details of the incident were still sketch.

Elkana said on Tuesday, February 25th, 2020, at about 12.30 pm, one Rafiu Dauda of No. 36 Alebiosu Street Ijegun, Satellite town reported at Elemoro Police Station that one Kazeem Mustapha stabbed his apprentice, one Afeez Oluwole, 33, on the chest with a broken bottle along Madoti Estate Fin-Niger, Satellite town, due to an argument over N500 debt.

He said his apprentice was rushed to the Holy Family Hospital, where he later died.

The corpse was deposited at the mortuary for postmortem examination. The suspect has been arrested. He will soon be charged to court,
