Kaduna Killings: Bandits Can’t Establish Terror Reign – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the killings of over fifty one (51) people in four (4) villages Kaduna villages by bandits on March 1st, saying that they had made a grievous mistake to think they could establish a reign of terror on innocent people, without bearing the full brunt of the government elected to protect the country’s citizens.

The criminals cannot be lucky always; we’re determined to frustrate and defeat them, and no matter how long they run or where they hide, they’d be smoked out and brought to justice,

he added.

Buhari vowed in a statement made available by his media aide, Garba Shehu, to sustain the ongoing military operations in Kaduna State. Expressing regret and sadness over the attack incident, he said from the reports presented to him, the bandits were frustrated because of the ongoing military and police offensive against them in the Kaduru and Birnin Gwari forests, and they decided to unleash their fury on innocent people.

He said that criminals could not blackmail his administration to abandon the current military offensive against them.

He sympathized with the victims of what he called “heinous attack” in Kaduna State.

President Buhari assured the people of the state and other parts of the country that the Federal Government would continue to deploy all available resources to fight the cold-hearted bandits to neutralize them.

Recall that suspected bandits on Sunday, March 1st, 2020 attacked four (4) villages in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killed fifty one (51) people and injured many others. The attacked villages were Marina, Zareyawa and Kerawa, which are all located in Kerawa Ward of the local government area.
