Coronavirus: Lagos Discharges Female Patient

Coronavirus disease 2019, otherwise known as COVID-19

The Lagos State Government on Tuesday, April 7th, 2020 said it has discharged a female coronavirus (COVID-19) patient from the Infectious Disease Hospital in Yaba.

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, disclosed this through his verified Twitter handle, @jidesanwoolu, on Tuesday.

With this latest discharged patient, the governor stated the state had discharged a total of thirty two (32) people after full recovery from the deadly virus.

He said,

Dear Lagosians,

I announce with immense joy, the discharge of another patient (a female) who has fully recovered from our facility at Yaba.

This brings to 32, the number of patients we have successfully managed and discharged in Lagos.

I look forward to sharing more great news in the coming days. This is indicative of the successes we are recording in our offensive against #COVID19

We are resolute in our resolve, we have the upper hand, we are winning and victory is surely ours.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, as at 09:30 pm on Monday, April 6th, 2020, there were 120 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Lagos State.
