Coronavirus: Kano Discharges Health Commissioner, Others

The Kano State Government has discharged 16 more COVID-19 patients from its isolation facilities, after they fully recovered and consecutively tested negative twice for the deadly disease.

This was contained in a statement released by the Kano State Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, and issued to journalists in Kano on Friday, May 8th, 2020.

The statement noted that Kano State has so far discharged a total of twenty two (22) coronavirus patients.

He said among the discharged patients were Prof. Abdulrazak Garba Habeeb of the Department of Medicine, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, who is also the co-chairman of the Kano State Task Force on COVID-19, and the state’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa.

He urged the general public to continue to adhere to the strictest personal hygiene via regular hand washing, use of face masks, and social distancing.
