A former catholic reverend sister, Chinyere Joan has married his sweetheart, Uzo Martin, a Nigerian security officer.

The couple’s photos have been generating numerous positive and sarcastic comments on social media, since the news broke out regarding the lady’s decision to leave her convent and get married.

With regards to some criticisms, Martin, in a Facebook post, urged critics to stop making mockery of his wife for her decision, because God ordained the institution of marriage in the Bible.

While sharing the Facebook photos of their wedding, Martin wrote:

Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. Marriage is an institution created by God. A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and the two will become one flesh.

MARRIAGE SHOULD BE HONOURED BY ALL AND THE MARRIAGE KEPT PURE. There is no fear in love. Chi Chi, I hold you in my heart for we have shared together God’s blessings. Do not mock God’s institution. We just got happily married and God bless us more. Mr and Mrs Uzo Martin.
