A father of six named Felix Edore has committed suicide following a report that his wife of sixteen (16) years was having an love affair with another man. According to The Nation, the sad incident happened in the late hours of Friday, February 28th, 2020 in Sapele, Delta State.

Our reporters gathered that Edore, who was a taxi driver shuttling between Abraka and Eku communities recently acquired a used car for his business.

Sources said that he drank Sniper, a brand of poisonous pesticide, in his car, after discovering that his wife was cheating on him.

He was reportedly taken to a private hospital in the Amukpe area of Sapele, where doctors unsuccessfully tried to save his life. He gave up the ghost early in the morning on Saturday, February 29th.

A resident of the area said that the deceased man, prior to his extreme decision, displayed no visible sign of being suicidal.

A neighbour said,

He came home that evening and was as usual, very lively. He brought his car and was complaining about the radiator or so. It was when he left and came back that we learnt he had drunk Sniper.

Police said the “the incident was not reported.”
